Saint Petersburg — Helsinki

Helsinki is the capital and most populous city of Finland. Located on the shore of the Gulf of Finland, it is the country’s most important center for politics, education, finance, culture, and research. Helsinki is located 80 kilometres (50 mi) north of Tallinn, Estonia, 400 km (250 mi) east of Stockholm, Sweden, and 300 km (190 mi) west of Saint Petersburg, Russia. It has close historical ties with these three cities.

DAY 1

  •  Arrive in Saint-Petersburg. Free time

DAY 2

  •  General City tour: Nevsky Avenue, the Admiralty, Palace Square, St. Petersburg State University, the Split of Basil island, Exchange building, Lighthouses, Stroganoff’s palace, Spilt Blood Church, St. Isaac’s Cathedral, the Bronze Horseman, Summer Garden
  •  Excursion to the Peter and Paul Fortress

DAY 3

  •  Excursion to the suburbs: State Museum Peterhof or the Pushkin State Museum (Cathrene Palace and Amber Room).

DAY 4

  •  Arrive in Helsinki. Free time

DAY 5

  •  General City tour: Senate Square, Helsinki Cathedral, University of Helsinki, Wellfare State functions, Bank of Finland, The mecca on Finnish Karaoke Scene, Uspenski Orthodox Cathedral, Presidential Palace, Sauna Centre, Market Square, Epicenter of National Celebration called Vappu, Esplanade

DAY 6

  •  Free time and departure
